Aaron Vis
ReNew Community is under the leadership and direction of pastor Aaron Vis. Aaron and his family (wife Renee, children Samuel, Caleb, Micah) are Iowa natives who moved back to Iowa after a season of pastoring a church in Michigan. They are thrilled to now have their home in Ames, and look forward to building relationships with those in their new community.
Director of Worship and Ministry Operations
Emily Paulson
Emily oversees the worship team and is also responsible for integrating people into and within PODS (or small groups), as well as ministry operations. Emily enjoys spending their time with her dogs and sharing life with her friends and family. She is so happy to be a part of ReNew Community and the impact it is having in people lives.
Finance Manager
Kristen Petty
Kristen handles all things finance for ReNew. She and her husband, Aaron, live in Ankeny with their 2 kids. Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and the dogs, preferably out in nature. She also enjoys reading, crocheting, and hanging out with youth group kids. ReNew Community has been pivotal in her and her husband’s faith journeys and she is excited to be a part of the amazing work being done through ReNew.
Focus Team
The Focus Team is made up of 6 elders, 3 men and 3 women who dedicate their time, prayer, and love to growing, serving and leading ReNew Community. Their role is to ensure ReNew is remaining doctrinally sound, and fulfilling our mission to connect people UP with God, IN with each other, and OUT with the world.
